Why?
- Because all nine New Testament examples of conversion demonstrate before us that they did what Paul expressed to the church at Rome. (Romans 6:17)
- They obeyed the will of the Father. (Matthew 7:21-23)
- Obedience demonstrates our faithfulness and love for the Lord. (Revelation 2:10 and John 14:14, 21, 23)
- Obeying Jesus is essential to salvation. (Acts 5:32; Hebrews 5:8-9; Hebrews 3:16-19)
After our obedience to the Lord, He adds us to His Church, we
then must
continue in the faith:
