Defending the Doctrine

Where do you believe you will spend eternity, and why?
Note this contrast: John 14.15; Luke 6:46

THE PROBLEM AND SOLUTION FOR MANKIND

There will always be those who darken counsel with words without knowledge:

Therefore, everything we consider concerning our eternal and spiritual well being must be based entirely on the Truth.

The Truth

EXAMPLES AND CONSEQUENCES FOR ADDING TO OR TAKING FROM GOD'S WORD

BECAUSE OF CHRIST'S LOVE FOR US HE ESTABLISHED A NEW WILL THAT WOULD GO INTO EFFECT AFTER HIS OBEDIENCE AND DEATH

Hebrews 9:15-17

Matthew 16:18-19

Mark 9:1

Colossians 2:14

AS A RESULT OF CHRIST'S DEATH BURIAL AND RESURRECTION, HIS WILL DID GO INTO EFFECT

The Church (Christians), which is the Kingdom of God that Christ reigns over, would be the ones who would reveal God's Will:

  1. Ephesians 3.8-12; 1 Peter 1.10-12
    1. Mark 9.1 Luke 24.46-49 Acts 1.8 and 2.1-4
  2. This is what Christ and Christians taught others so that they could become a part of Christ's church:
    1. Matthew 28.19-20
    2. Mark 16.15-16
    3. Luke 24.46-47
  3. This is what the Lord, apostles, and Christians taught concerning the church:
    1. Acts 20.17, 28
    2. Ephesians 4.4 Ephesians 1.22-2
      1. See also Colossians 3.15

CHRISTIANITY IS TAUGHT: TITUS 2.11-15, Romans 10.14-17

Consider: Paul declared this to the Church in Rome: Romans 6:17 ;

And this is what he declared to the Church in Corinth: I Corinthians 2:2 ;

To the Churches in Galatia he wrote this Galatians 2:20

Paul also told them what they had crucified, if they belong to Christ in Galatians 5:24 ;

And Paul told the Church in Rome how they were crucified with Christ Romans 6:3-6

Paul declares the same message in Colossians yet in another way Colossians 2:11-14

And in effect said the same thing to the Church at Thessalonica 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 ;

Paul explained to the Church at Corinth what the Gospel was I Corinthians 15:1-4

But understand one cannot obey until one believes Mark 16:16

Compare Colossians 2.12 with John 6.29

Jesus taught that one must be born again: John 3.3-21. In verse 5 of this text, "Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom." John declared there were three who bear witness in heaven and three who bear witness on earth. 1 John 5.6-13.

When Christ arose from the dead He was once again the sinless Son of God. When one is united in the likeness of his death, one buries the old sinful man that they were. And when he or she rises in the likeness of His resurrection, they become the sinless sons and daughters of God, through the Blood of the Lamb. Therefore, Christians became the righteousness of God, to now walk in the newness of life. 2 Corinthians 5.21; Romans 6.3-7

Ephesians 1:3

day has been saved, until they have done all of the above.

Ephesians 4:4-6: There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all, and in us all.

1 Peter 4.17: For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the Good News of God?
